This is a good photo of a heron in flight, and the stop action is perfect. This is also well focused showing well defined details in the feathers, and the light is perfect. The bird is standing out from the background in the most excellent way.
The only weak part of this image is the composition. You need a bit more space at the bottom and also on the right side, because the feet and wing are too close to the frame. Apart from this, it is a well taken shot, and with a good DOFF.

Great stop action. And the angle from above is different. We do not normally get to see wing spread from the top view. Is it normal for you to take pictures at ISO 400. Not that 400 is that fast. But the day looks so clear and sunny. I just notices some loss of detail around the neck and head. But still a great snap, thanks for sharing, john

Nice shot of this one in flight. Focus is good. Lighting and clarity is good and the colors are sharp and bright but the only thing I find out in this shot, the eye is not that clear and you know your shot is good when you see its eye. Nice work and thanks for sharing.
