The quality of this close up is second to none! What you have centered on is the anther and the stigma which is as fascinating as the entire flower. I love it that usch beauty is free on the side of an old country road. Great eye for noticing!!

Congratulations on your placing in the flowers comp Willie. This does indeed look like a day lilly, we have them growing in our garden. Did you know you can eat them? They are a great decoration on salads. You've captured this one beautifully, with great focus, lighting and colour. Congrats again.

What a great photograph. In excellent focus. Great use of space and color balance. I particularly like the brightness of the stamen . I know from personal experience how difficult it is to photograph yellow orange things. to me at least Thank you for sharing this lovely photograph.
