The dragonfly is a good size in the picture and it is in a good place too.
The tail is going off focus very slightly but the rest of it is very sharp.
I like the angle of the reed that it is on and the background is thrown well out of focus.
There is a distracting orange shape in that background but I will not deduct anything off the rating for that.

nicely done Willie ... excellent light, depth of field is solt and complimentary to bringing out the detail.. like that you framed the DF a bit right of center to create a sense of direction ... the detail on the wings whele keeping enough clarity of the dragonfly's eye clear is a testimony to a skilled shot

You are welcome. No, I didn't enter the car, I think it was Eva. I entered the tip of a leaf against an all green background, sort of a Cephus like macro. I am sure the judges will like your entry.

Fantastic photograph of this guy from an entirely different angle than usually taken. Great color and detail in the image. The thing I really love about dragonflies are their see through wings. This photo clearly represents the "see through" look. Very nice focus on him and the leaf.
