To give a technical review of your work would be simply silly .. I would rather give a more of a personal psychological observation of why this is such a compelling piece of art. You give us a delicate yet painful treatment of life and death.. The bleeding rose is often not about death but risking Life and Love (capital L's) and the willingness to risk breaking open the heart. On the other hand the chilling image of transparent death is clear and still. One could create a story here for a reverse reality as well. Death being the rose and the after life the beyond .. that's what makes for great art. This modern yin yan image offers another perspective though and it comes from the transforming muted transforming colors residing between the paradox. It is here one gets to observe both and find one Truth (capital T) Well done my dear friend .. PS was listening to some classic Chet Baker before seeing this, the song was "my funny valentine"

This is truly FANTABULOUS! Love the soft feathers in the background and the soft reflections on the table top.
The black and white is fab with the fine use of selective color on the parts of the rose and leaves. The bleeding rose is clever, creative and oh so emotive.
Your use of light is superb allowing the crystal to sparkle and shine.
This is a Fine comp with great clarity and artistic editing. It has great story telling ability. Reminds me of a Great Opera LA Boheme. Love, life, loss.. Poor Mimi...
