This has a good balance between tension (red sky) and calmness (still waters). The island is on the tension side and the foreground is protective. Personally I don't care for silhouettes, but it does put the viewer in a safe spot.

This piece reminds me of the question "if you were on an abandoned island what are the two things you would take with you?" You have framed the center of interest very well with the use of the palms on either side, this creates depth and contrast in the piece with your vibrant sky colours. Your composition has been well thought out and has good visual impact as well as good story telling capabilities! The colours are bold and have much eye appeal. Thanks for sharing, it looks like it will be a hot day once that sun gets all the way up!

Very pretty sunset scene. Enjoyed the view. The red color in the sky and water is wonderful to set the mood. It looks as though there is a small island in the distance. Silhouetted palms are a wonderful touch also. Well done.

oh my shawn is back, love it love it love it. I said you would get to know the one's i like lol. i like the hot reds here producing a lovely sunset sky, i like the dof here with island silhoetted in the background, and the foreground is stunning with all those colours in the reflection on the water surface it looks like a rainbow, well done shawn and thanks so much for bringing my shawn back lol keep up the good work :)
