Nice shot. I spend a lot of time on the water and see many Blue Herons, I've taken several photos but have not accomplished the sharpness in motion that you did here. The detail is great, exposure good.

I is wonderful to capture birds in full flight. Here the feet are at a diagonal but look almost like a rudder on a boat for steering. The full wingspan is huge and the blue of the water is a good foil for the colours of the bird. thanks for sharing, Cyn

Great action shot, very well captured!
The detail of the span of his wings is beautiful and his elongated body is spreading nicely across the photo. The blue and green of the water is also a nice touch and contrast to the blue-grey of his wings.

This capture is rich in color and motion. The shimmering water of green with the sky's blue reflection makes a beautiful backdrop. Excellent profile shot of the heron in flight, very clear and in a great position to show the details of this magnificent bird. Love it! Good luck in the contest.
