This is a beautiful shot! The twist of the head and the solid breast makes it seem as if this is a posed shot... LOL I love the persimmon colours of the beak, crest, and wings. Thanks for sharing my friend. Cyn

I enjoyed the right ISO setting using very little light to get the right exposure without camera shake for a best quality photo. Nothing more needed. Excellent.

Your place sounds like a wildlife paradise! We put feed out for the birds nearly every day but only get ordinary visitors who disappear the moment we put in an appearance. Like the pose you have captured here and the central composition. The photo gives fabulous colour and detail for us to admire and enjoy. Very good shot, well done, best of luck in your contest!

Her colors are so bright in parts, and whats not bright is harmonious and pretty.
Good solid green backround.
The focus is spot on.
The exposure is just right.
nice fill of the frame with room to breathe.
