A terrific full frame close up shot of this guy. We have many here in New England as well but you would have a difficult time shooting this close. Incredibly great shot with fantastic focus and clarity to show his color and markings.

What a deepness in this eye - super macro shot with stunning clarity on the tiny feathers looking like a winter robe - the sun flower seed is just to be eaten and we perceive that his beak is hurt - great portrait shot - perfect background contrast color - nice presentation with perfect artistic adjustments

Beautiful bird. I love the vivid red and black on him. His big eye looking at us is cute. Good background in green, compliments the image. This is the closest I've ever seen a bird. Great macro shot! Good luck in the contest!

What a wonderfully impactful wildlife shot of this beautiful bird so well captured and presented. I had no idea they looked like this up close! Details are spot on with your clarity. Even the beak cracks are so clearly defined. This would be an interesting piece to blow up large as it commands attention. Well done. Thanks for sharing!

Very nice shot as a whole. Framing, color, and subject are wonderful. It has good focus, but not sharp crisp focus. Pulling back in cropping may bring out that detail focus more.

This is a beautiful photo of a cardinal bird captured with food in it's beak. wonderful colours, great focus and detail of feathers and eyes, it tells a story,worth every point I can give you.
