A fantastic capture of a beautiful bird in flight. The timing is spot on as is the focus. The depth of field is fantastic giving good isolation of the bird from the background. The framing is excellent giving breathing space on the left of frame for the bird the bird to fly into. Colours and vabrancy really make the image stand out from the screen.

Beautiful shot of this big blue flying off in search of a better fishing spot. He was probably having the same luck there as I did yesterday with my fishing pole. ha Great photo and a nice entry for the contest. Beautiful details and an excellent capture of this bird.

These are elusive birds and at time hard to photograph. A bit to much saturation but all good and thank you for sharing with us.

Thanks! It is a Great Blue Heron! The name tells his color. It depends on the lighting as to how blue he looks!
