Great shot here. You have great clarity and color. I would like to have seen the bird more to the left but it's still a wonderfuly done shot :)

Very nice capture of an elusive bird. What was your zoom set at? I'm assuming all the way out to 300mm as with that high an f/stop you've gained nice loss of detail in the back of your shot. Sharp focus - tripod or handheld? Would suggest cropping a little differently so that the subject isn't in the bulls-eye...but overall a very nice capture.

Comments: Great picture of this Green Heron. Very nicely focused and Good DOF. I am not a great fan of tightly cropped pictures . I would have not cropped so tightly to the right. Given the little bird a direction to move. The right because the bird is looking that way. Thank you for your details in the artist notes. Providing information about the subject as well as providing very good camera notes. I would suggest that you add lighting conditions, time of day, and whether it was hand held or tripod mounted? Thanks for sharing.

What a beautiful photo you have taken - sharp and clear on the bird - soft and a little blur on the surrounding - very well done..

Very nice capture. What an intense looking little fellow, lol. He is perfectly focussed, and you've used DOF well. Good colour and light. Good luck in the contest.
