This is amazing. It is so lifelike, the detail is incredible. I do not know how long it took you to do this but it is truly a beautiful piece of art. She appears to me to be calm, casual, and carefree. Yet, her facial expression is still mysterious.

Dearest jkdruckman,
She is like you and me. Creations with thoughts of why, what if, and where. Thank you for your wonderful review.

This is a sixer in my books. Love the pose you have presented. Your shading technique and the detail it has produced is awesome. Your choice of media for presentation sets the mood beautifully. A pleasure to view.

I would say that is has stood the test of time very well. What an excellent drawing. There is so much detail and excellent depth. Again your use of shadows and lights is right on. Very skillful in my eye. Shirley

Dearest Shirley,
Thank you a million times a million. To receive such a wonderful review just makes the egocentric artist in me jump for joy. Be blessed, fellow artistic maniac.

Lots of story telling here, not only with here clothes and the furniture but definitely with those eyes. I'm going to sound like a broken record, but you are the number one artist on this site. The shading on the furniture makes it come alive, its like you can reach out and touch the just polished leather. The number of greyscale shades and tones you have here is incredible. Awesome detail in every aspect, especially her face, her eyes, her blouse. I always enjoy viewing your work, I apologize for the '5'. Great work Linda!!! Thanks.

Dear Jim,
While I am here, sipping my "Long Island Iced tea, and totally enjoying this evening, to read the rendering of your critique on my work makes this an especially wonderful moment in time. There are so few lately. I am working on an idea for a new creation. I just want to thank you for your continued support and your wonderful confidence boosting, not for me alone, but for all the artists that you review.

Hello My Friend,
I call them like I see them!
I wish that one day, when you have the time and the spirit, you get one of those artist portfolio thingys, gather up your work, put on a nice pair of comfortable shoes and go knock on gallery doors until you get an exhibition somewhere out there...
-
One day if you go with me.

Its a deal! I like it out there. After your opening is squared away, we'll rent a sailboat in Long Beach and head over to Catalina for the day to celebrate!

Oops! I thought you were in the LA area, we have to change the sailing intenerary, and make it SanFransisco Bay instead (which I prefer anyway...always great sailing on the Bay!). its very cool to sail around Alcatraz and get to see San Fransisco and the Golden Gate from that perspective. I worked briefly for a chartering company just off the Embarkadero (sp) near the Bay bridge, and came oh so close to being a yacht broker in Sausalito after i left Hawaii. I have to go check my notes to see if I can find this info., but there is gallery there (well connected to the internet too) that seeks out new talent to represent in their gallery. They specialize in giving breaks to artists that don't already have a website or marketing presence, and they pick somebody new every month to feature! There's a ton of galleries between SF and Monterray....lucky you to be in that area, especially close to the ocean like that, haven't been to Carmel, but spent some time in Monterray, Cheers to you on that one.

What a very wonderful rendering you did on this moody study of the girl. The leather couch shines perfectly and you can feel the texture of her blouse. Your blending and shading is magnificent. I wish I could give you a sky full of stars but I only have 5. Great job.

Dear Wrhosie 935,
Your artist's pen/name is interesting. Your review is stellar, in that it builds confidence in the struggling artist's ego, and encourages them to create more. I thank you for your kindness and your fine critique. They humble me.
Your's enthusiatically,
Linda

You are struggling in the right direction though I think you have reached a level that your efforts will be recognized as something beyond a mere amateur, My name is just what fanart took from my e mail address. William Robertson Hosie, Jr is my name hence wrhosie and I was born Sept. 1935 which is the 935. Keep up your good work. I think you will go far.

Dearest Tuckerkao,
Sounds like your pen name is Australian. Maybe there is a touch of the barbie in you. I thank you for your wonderful review, and I pray that you are blessed most abundantly for your ego building kindness.
