Absolutely spectacular shot! Such expertise of the photographer and the heron! Everything just down to the split second! I have never seen anything like this. The colors in this bird are just wonderful. Those blues are so beautiful.

Nice picture. I like how it is detailed and so clear. Sometimes we get the blur somewhere in a picture no matter how hard we try. Very cool how you got this heron.

Your photos of birds are always a pleasure to look at, and this is a real action shot. It is the fish in the beak and the splashes from the lifting bird that make this photo a bit different from your other shots. I like the greenish color of the water broken by the blue rings. The log sticking out of the water adds interest. Your focus is as usual nice and sharp and the use of light is good.Wonderful details in the feathers. Another strong composition with good balance and DOFF.

Good one on your patience. The timing of exposure delivered a pretty unique result. To improve I think I might have tried toning down the highlights a tad. Good work and thanks for sharing.

Thank you so very much! I did try to tone down the white areas but it was a little over exposed in those areas!

A dramatic nature shot! Your wait was clearly very worth while. Not sure that you could have got a better composition than this. Wings at full splay and fish in the mouth, absolutely great with really natural colours thrown in. Very good work indeed!
