Without a doubt our pets take over and we allow them their foibles and their assertive rights to take the best we have to offer. Love the arrangement in this work. Many visual textures from stone, wood and soft fabric - snapping flames and smooth texture of the wall. Great to see the combination of the dog and the cat - not always a happy coupling. What I really like about your artwork Suzanne is the realism - I don't have to stretch my imagination to 'see' what you are conveying and can just allow my emotions to respond - for me that is my preferred way of viewing art - emotionally. Love this SUE

Nor should there be. Humans take up enough space as it is. Love seeing the tooth of the paper, in this, what I'm assuming is a watercolor on cold-press paper. Traditional Artists Unite!

Good coloring, makes everything look warm and inviting. Good work on the animals. Good depth of field and dimensioning. I like the way you pesented the tiling around the fireplace. The colors you chose for the fire make it look real. The basket on the right balance the picture allowing the eye to flow all over the work. Good job!
Thanks for sharing.

Like the composition and the angel of the presentation. I think that for an oil painting it lacks depth of the color maybe because so much of the white of the canvas is peeking through. I think that needs to be improved and you would have real winner with this painting in my opinion.

This is a warm and cozy painting. The perspective and depth is very nice. The colors are lovely and cozy. The pets look so relaxed, and I love the old style fire place. Thanks for showing it.
