Wonderful painting, I love the colors of the nature you have presented here. I would like to have this in my room, seems so peacefully and in the same time so vivid. Thank you for sharing it and best wishes with the contest.

This is beautiful Katya, I would hang this in my room any time. I love the colours you have used in this. The reds give great initial impact. The natural framing of the trees lead the eye to the centre. Lovely work, well done. K.

Hi,

If you, with every new set of water colors... Would present such drawing.. I will send you a dozen sets..! From what i seeing the sky and the land is burnin, as something tragic, or a great disaster was happening to the planet Earth, strong story telling ability, strong initial impact.. Maybe if you were planned or arranged before to capture it that you didn't..! Thanks for posting.

If you send me dozen sets I'll make that many paintings:))) just kidding! But I am going to to get a new set pretty soon and I'll get back to my experiments, maybe I'll come up with another one:)

Very nicely rendered abstract. I can actually see the colors and clouds of the fire. I enjoy abstract that I can actually can see something in it. Nice depth and movement on this piece. Shirley

This is absolutely lovely. It is so well thought out in composition and pallet. The silhouetting is fantastic and creates movement and mystery within the piece. The color off the cloud and then reflected in the water is very specially done. Very impressive and thank you for sharing this. Travlin1

Yes I agree. I think it fitted the contest theme very well. You have my vote.
I'm not often write on paintings. I believe we should only do what we know of and I have non the education or experience in traditional art.
I was attracted to the colors. They are beautiful and I can see why you call it Sunset Fires. It has a lot of an southern sunset over water. If there is such a thing as abstract realism this watercolors is one. I can't help it but I see the sky in sunset colors in the upper half. Then there is something like low foliage reflecting in some kind of water in the middle part. Amazingly the surroundings have some of a dessert view in spite of the water. Then there are structures something stone it looks. In the lower part reflections in water again as if a mood puddle and in front on the lower border dry grass. I would call it an abstract nature painting.
Probably so are as many impressions of this picture as there are viewers but I believe that is what art should do. Get us emotional and then make us think.
Good look for the contest
