This is so soft and gentle looking. Though there is a fire it actually makes it seems relaxing. The colors are great and the fire looks so real. Maybe it is relaxing. Maybe it is just something that fires do and it does not have to be negative. Weirdly calming this image. Great job. Very creative and hihgly impactufl.

Thank you so much for your very thoughtful review, Bec! The finally got it out in our area late Saturday, but I believe it is still burning in other areas. I haven't watched the news lately.

Hi Shawn, I was wondering where you were located in relationship to the fire. I'm glad you are ok. I got caught up in the traffic on Saturday. YUCK> This is a wonderful image of the fire scene. You make it non threatening with the colors and overall scene. Malestrom and peacefull all in one. Super job. Dave

Shawn, this is artistic and photojournalistic all at once! It is amazing how a fire can bring such tragedy and loss and yet it rejuvenates nature in the end. The colors are in harmony and it almost looks like a painting in style and composition.I like the purple sky and the look of the clouds I'm glad you are okay! Great capture!

Thank you so much for the great review and extra special rating, TS!! If you have been watching the news, the fire is out in our area now, but I don't think they have it completely out in other areas. This fire covered many miles.
Comment from Anne
This is amazing at how realistic it looks. The way you have the smoke in this is stunning. The detail and way you did this is excellent. We saw where so many homes were destroyed in this fire. I hope yours was not one of them and that you are okay. An excellent picture.

This is a beautiful and very lifelike digital paint Shawn. I have been watching the news and as it continues I hope you remain unaffected. Nature can be capricious and cruel at times. Shirley

Great work, sad but great
You capture a terrible moment of this fires in the Chino Hills,
the composition is great, nice colors and good lighting and contrast.
The background is terrific with the flames and the clouds of smoke
Thanks for sharing

What a striking image - you can sense what it must be like to be there - let's hope the wind cooperates and things get back to something like normality as soon as possible. Well done to you for capturing such a sobering image!

Wow, very nice. Love the way you have the clouds layered, rolling towards you it seems. Most poignant, striking subject. Great composition on this artwork. Love the almost purple of the sky against those smoky clouds and the orange of the fire. Scary subject, but compelling artwork.
