This is a decent attempt. I think you might want to look up the meaning of abstract. I give you a 4.5 because the over all composition is to sparse and the top of the apples is cut off.

Oh it looks nice abstract apple, i like the color selection and the the pattern on the foreground, i wouldn't have cropped from the top, but its a nice abstract art work. Well done.

I think that this is an interesting apple. I do like the way the apple shines and the lighting on the red side is very good. I do think that the blackness of the shadow is too strong and goes through the table. Also, the lighting on the table is too pale for me. I still think that you did a pretty good job though.
