What a playful scene. The retreating water across the sand gives a lot of movement to the scene. The dog is enjoying the rushing water and adds a lot of joy to the artwork. The watery blues of the water and the sky give a crisp feeling of a touch of a nip of cool breezes. Beautiful scene.

Good that you have this interesting photo of your dog, Polly. She looks happy here, and brave. The rule of thirds is done effectively in this art, although mostly referred to in photography works here too. Beautiful ocean and sky colors. Good techniques with the painting:)

Beautiful tribute to Polly! Love the variations of blue used in the sky and in the water. Great crashing of the waves on the shore and I really like the way you show the playfulness the dog. Very nice perspective and motion shown. Great job!
