I like the way you have captured the wetness of the sand. Good movement. Good colors. You can see that Polly has had fun in the water.

You did a great job capturing the action of the waves and the dog. I love the technique; it gives the painting great texture.

Very impressionistic(if that's a word) Suzanne, you can feel undercurrent dragging you out before the next wave hits you, love the cloud shadows on the water further out, Polly's waiting for you to throw her a stick to chase.

Yes here is indeed lots of water Susanne - even on the dog - when I look at your dog I also see the reflection of him on the water here and that adds so much extra interest and beauty to your painting - Well done!!

Lovely painting here, suzanne. Love the colors you used and the different line work. Also, I like the style of this painting very much. Sorry for your loss of Polly but she remains alive in your heart. Can just get the feeling she had a grand time as she's in the water but looking back as if to say...come and join me. Your having the mountains on the mountains adds interest and that it's in line with Polly was a great idea. Love the waves breaking on the beach. I've tried and I know painting water isn't as easy as it looks. Lovely sky as well. Really enjoyed your painting. Annie

You did Quite an awesome job on this painting Suzanne. It is very beautiful reminds me of the great impressionist .I love the colors you used .The use of maroon in the wet sand is just awesome ,and the dog is a wonderful center of focus I love every thing about this .The depth the angles the technique and the feel

This is really beautiful.
I wont say it is 100 % realistic or it is just like a photograph,but it certainly is superb art work that goes perfectly with the title and most appropriate for the contest.
The reason is,it has great liquidy look and watery feeling,
To me the waves are singing,and I can hear lovely music from the wind too.
The dog makes this look more lively and creates a story to this.
it seems like it has a lovely bath in the waves and just came out and moving his tail and shivers his body to get dried..
very beautiful colours and lovely work.
