I like the simplicity of this. The colours are intense and yet there is something quite ethereal about it. Polly, is almost see through, you seem to have captured her with just a few brush strokes, in the right place. Also love the purpley colours of the beach, who would have thought that would work? But it certainly does.

This is one of my favorites today. What a beautiful composition and so well chosen colors. Very good oil painting technique. I simply love it. Hope to see more.

This is a great painting you have achieved. The dog being the focal point makes for an interesting composition with the water and the sky and the way the waves are washing ashore, presents this well.

Well, I like the movement in this painting as well as the subject matter. Nothing is more beautiful than the every day which we take for granted. The far away bit of land is well done, I see the scattered reflection of the dog. I like this painting. I need to study more on light myself because I tend to want very light light and very dark dark. I imagine living in a different part of the world than Florida, I may have learned a firmer grasp of muted daylight.Perhaps you have that. I will run with the notion that I think I wish for a bit more light or shadow in this painting ;although I have to admit, I am not sure how. Maybe I am taking it too literally. Maybe more white caps in the distance? I think a few deeper shadows under the froth on the beach might add to that. I think the shadow and reflection of the dog is perfect.I like the colors and overall the painting gives me a very peaceful feeling.

This is so beautifull painting Suzanne,I like the addition of your loving dog, nice details around shoreline and the rich dark contrast on the water and the sky, and that distance mountain. Lovely colors, highlights and details all around. Pleausue viewing it, and all the best for the contest.

What a lovely painting of Polly at the bech. I love that the sand has a purplish tint to it; I like the incoming tide and how you conveyed the little ripples of water with the white suds on it. The ocean looks so realistic; water as far as the eye can see. I like the island far off in the distance. I also like that the dog is not sharply defined. Just a great seascape picture. I love the beach and I love this painting!
