There is a simple joy to this creation..
I live in a world class ski area and this could hang on any wall around the area. It shows so much more that colors and shapes.. A very fun and enjoyable image to see,thanks...Dennis

I recognise your work as soon as I see it. It?s always interesting, has well thought out compositions and good light/colour and contrasts. Thanks again?this is another great work. You really should consider illustrating books. Robin

Thank you so much for your 5-Star review of my artwork, and I am pleased that you admire my creations so much. I am interested in illustrating books but I do not know how to go about it. If you have any information that would help me, I would appreciate knowing. Thank you.

Hi Veronette, I have always found that the best way to get illustration work is on foot (first stage), if planning on working locally. I go through the yellow pages, visit each publishing house/printers/ad agency etc, with a portfolio in hand - I NEVER phone to make an appointment - too easy for them to say no. Take a CD of your work (to leave with them) and a few printed sample copies of your illustrations, or the actual pieces, if traditional art.
(2nd Stage) Bug folk for an interview...keep going back till they begin to hate you if ness. (don't just leave your web addres etc.)

Further afield you have to rely on communications, be it tel or email/internet. But again, if you can, pester folk. However, once you get known locally, word will soon get out.

If you are good at what you do, (and you are), your confidence will shine through and once folk see your stuff, even if it's slow at first, it WILL happen. I assure you. I travelled for over 20 years doing this and it has yet to fail me. I have ALWAYS got art jobs this way and nearly always on the 1st day stroll. Good luck!
