Suzanne, I don't know how many times I've seen exactly this same thing, only different cat. LOL. We have a flat section of roof in the front of the house where some of the neighborhood kitties love to sun themselves. Beautiful job on this and you captured it perfectly :) Sounds to me like the duck hunters shot the little guy on purpose. There is quite a bit of difference between a cat and duck, and if they can't tell the difference, they shouldn't be hunting! What a sad thing. You did a super work on this, and I wish you super luck in the contest.

This is a funny looking cat picture. His expression is so cute, like busted again. I love the rose hue throughout the cats hair. I'm sorry for the lose of Doyle. I hate guns and wish they just go away.

Susanne each cat you do becomes more life like the eyes on this one are very real and convincing ,even though most cats don't seem to have much expression ,so i have been told this one has a very real expression ,and also very believable i think it is wonderful ,as he looks over the roof

Awwwww I am so sad about Doyle he is so cute. I think he is in heaven dancing with some angels.
I like your painting of him, He is soft and I think his eyes show so much love and the personality you have described. I like the pinkish colors and tones. the fur texture looks very good.
