Very cute portrait of the cat. I like the intense look in the eyes and the scene, peering through the grass is always a favorite of mine. I have four cats and they all do that to me. The ears look a little stiff and flat, not as lifelike and three-dimensional as the face and you lost the white whiskers (i'm assuming here - all my tuxedos have white whiskers). A couple options to avoid losing your bright whites -1. a masking compound and panit the whiskers in before you put in the darker colors, 2. try gouche - it's more opaque than the inks and watercolor or 3. Go in after it's dry with pastel pencil?? Just some suggestions to an age old problem with watercolor paintings.

This painting is so great. It looks like my cat. She is black and white and her nose looks a lot like this one. Such a pretty subject. Your colors are great and it looks so real to life. I really like this work.

This is a sweet painting of a "jungle Kitty" .I have known some sweet jungle kitties myself. I like the diagonal flow of the grass in the foreground. The eyes are beautifully done. ARTSEY

Very nice painting. I like the shade of green you used it stands out nicely from the back ground colors. Nice detail on the cat's head with the little white hairs sticking up on the head.
