You captured this lonely scene expertetly. Great story telling with the shadows. Makes one wonder what those people do all day long sitting in their homes, trying to stay cool, avoiding the San Antonio heat. A dear friend lived there and told me it is hotter than a cat on a hot tin roof in summer and people spend most of their time in the malls, in theaters and at home with their beloved air conditioning. My visit there was in April, so I was off the hook for that. Thanks for sharing this one. best, mia

Thank you Mia, It could get very hot in Texas. But I don't mine heat. I live in the tropics. I was freezing all the time because all the buildings and malls are too cold for me. The keep the temp in the 60's I think. If it is 100 outside the change is to much.

This is an extremely sharp photograph. The light that has given you the great shadows, has also blown out the sides of the houses and back of the stop sign. Still a very good shot.

Thank you for your generous review. I have to admit that I have blown the lighted parts a little in purpose to make it more frightening but I guess it doesn't work.

You really captured a feeling here. It looks so bleak and uninviting. I'm glad it's black and white. I don't think it would have the same emotional impact in color.

Thank you so much. What you have seen is exactly what I wanted to show. You are also right with the black and white. The pretty sky colors were prettying the place up.

This is an excellent shot in respect to the light and the long shadows being cast. Your angle works fine and so does the black and white shot for this. Your technqiue has worked well here.
