Interesting self portrait. The textures are great and work well with the shadow. Excellent composition with both the shadow and the light covered area in the bottom left. Good sharpness and nice tonal range.

Thank you a lot for your complimentary and kind review. You are the only one with no doubt that it is a self portrait. You are right. :)

i really like the concept and the pose here, very good angle and composition and has a great amount of depth in those shadows and i like the-way the ground is creeping in from the left bottom corner adding some character and texture to this photograph, great idea and thoughtful image, nice work.

I like this piece - it peaks my interest and keeps me wondering all the same. This human shadow is not bound by space or time... This could be a man or woman, from today or from 20 years ago...

I like...

I love the poem. Is that shadow you? It's a great concept. I like how the patch in the cement mmimics a shrub, or support for the pose. Nice job! Best wishes in the contest.

Thank you much for reviewing and the wishes. :-)
Yes it's me. The shadow was happen on a trip south but since I have allways some stories and poems in my head, this poem came to mine. I had to wiggle around quite a bit to align the shadow with the brake in the concrete and get the camera shadow hidden.

I really like the stylised composition and silhouette. It is a very creative yet simple; photograph, that it makes me want to look longer.

All the best in the competition.

This is a really creative view...reminds me of a cowboys relaxing on his mount in the 1800's sometime. The colours are subtle, delicate and like I said the subject so suggestive. Leaves a lot to the imagination. I really like this alot.

Beautiful photography.

Great light and detail.
The absence of color makes it so interesting.
Magnificent textures.
It opens ones mind to thought.
Very surreal.

I really like the poem Cleo. My brother died last week and this poem really fits where my emotions are at the moment. A very difficult time.

This is a great composition. Your use of a shadow for the human form is very creative and what a great form you've caught. Thank you.

    Thank you so much.
I'm so sorry to hear about your brother. In classical Greek believing the death are shadows what fade into nothing if nobody think of them but the smallest amount of thoughts and memories will give the shadow the colors of life. The death are only death if we forget them.
