Oh wow, Cleo! He looks ferocious! Is he really that white? I was going to say that possibly a different angle or closer shot might have revealed a bit more detail in him, but to be truthful, I wouldn't have wanted to get close to him! Best wishes in the contest.

Thank you so much for your great review.
He is white but he also seams to reflect the last of the daylight. I couldn't see it to well He was almost overhead. I had to move a big stone to clime on it to get the angle. I'm not sure I would go to close to him since I don't know what he is. I have searched but couldn't find out. He is tiny with big jaws what is not a good sign. There is also the other reason that I really like the web and how it is reflecting the last sun rays.. Actually this huge web got my attention first before I saw the tiny spider in it.

I don't blame you for not wanting to get close!!!!!! I am not a fan of most arachnids!

I don't mine the big hairy spiders down here. They make themself looking scary but their only weapon are a few nettle hears. The little ones are the kind to aware in our area. But down here.

    I'll keep that in mind!

This is pretty cool, Cleo. I thought it was a drawing at first. The colors and composition are very pleasing. Even your spider looks more friendly than scary. Best of luck.

Thank you so much for your kind review.
I really don't know about the friendliness of this guy. I searched but couldn't find out the species. This guy is tiny with big jaws what is not a good sign down here. I really like or big black hairy spiders much better. The make themself scary but aren't. The harmless looking are the ones to be aware of. [Sorry for fluffing out. just in case you visit the Yucatan again]

What a wonderful angle for this shot. The sky in the background really makes the web stand out not to mention the spider. Your presentation and the technique you have used works well here.

Thank you for your trouought review. It wasn't easy. I had to moove a big stone To stand on it. The tiny spider was almost over head.

I love the web - such great detail but the spider is a bit bleached out with over exposure. Did you have a look at it in black and white? the spider's legs are great though

Thank you for your kind review. But the spider isn't bleached. It is an almost white spider. Yes I have an black and white but I like the blue of the late afternoon sky better.

I'm always amazed with what simple spiders can do, they are excellent archites and designers for their web home, a manifestation of inteligence design

Thank you for your kind review. Yes the are amazing. This spieder is tiny 5-6mm [3/8 inches] in most but the net was about 1m [3feet].
