Nicely done and what a fantastic idea as well. Just about perfect for the competition too I think. Well done and really well conceived too.

Thank you a lot. I can't claim the idea, it's Arcimboldo's. I just borrowed from him.

A fasinating piece of artwork, Cleo. I looked up some of his work on the Internet, and I have to say that I like yours better, because of the eyes. I think that if Arcimboldo would have done a lot of his with more real looking human eyes, they would have been more interesting. It is amazing how he used the fruit, etc. to make portraits, and a superb job he did on them. Viewed from a distance most looked just like a person :) You did a wonderful job on this, and I wish I had a six for you. This is just great!! :) Kudos to you and your husband for helping.

Thank you for your compliments and the tought of a 6. Don't worry about it. Your reviews are much more important to me than the rating.
I had the same feeling about the eyes in Arcimboldo's work but he probably had some treason for not doing what escaped us. Did you see his two selfportraitas? The one a conventional drawing reminds a little of how Don Quichotte face is often imagined, the other the "Four Seasons" is a mix with the symbolic he use in his surreal portraits. I'm still marveling what he was trying to tell us considering the renaissance love for riddles and puzzles.

Highly unusual effort here. Intersting effort and good use of color. The thing that really doesn't work for me in this is the nose. Might try a smaller fruit there :) Overall, very interesting attempt.

Thank you for your generous review. I may try a smaller fruit or just take the additional two pineapple halves of of the sides of the nose. But I'm not sure if it would work for me. I was going by Arcimboldo's principle that the objects resemble the personal features of the person who is subject to the portrait. there in is the problem, My husband doesn't have a small nose.

This is nice, Cleo. I like your sense of imagination, and how it really pools into something that turned out wonderful. Great job. Best wishes in the contest.

Thank you so much. I really can't claim on idea or imagination. Both are Arcimboldo's. I just borrowed it. Seams something to that fascination he has to the art world over the last 500 years.

This is very creative work here and I'm sure the Italian painter has inspired to do this.
Good initial impact and something different in FAR.
Thanks for sharing .
