Very beautiful, Shawn! I noticed this a day or two ago but didn't have time to review it. Seems that work is the only thing that exists for me these days. I like the depth that you have created in this spacious desert scene. I like the shapes here that define the desert so well. The sun literally seems to be shining full power. Terrific!

Immediatley captures the eye
To me it has a serenity all of it`s own and gives me a calmness when I look at it . It makes me want to sit there for hours just drinking it in,peace, warm sun, calm.
Love also the great contrast of the dark cactus against the sunny background. I love it thankyou for sharing

I'm conflicted about this, but that's more a reflection of my personal taste. Your treatment of color, form, and perspective are well-executed in this piece. When I stand back, I get a distinct hazy desert morning feel, so I have to say the storytelling ability and lighting are quite effective, too. I think the cacti threw me initially.

You never cease to amaze me how you change up on your subject matter that you do! But then you are a great artist!
I really like the warmth that this painting exudes.You can almost "feel" the heat of the desert as you 'try' to look at the glaring sun.I love the silhouette shapes that you put in among the other vegetation.
What happened to the center foreground of the painting.It almost looks like a flash went off and left a purple/white mark?Another beautiful artwork

very creative i'd say hot litterally that the first inital impact great field of depth great distance to the sun and the colors are very hummid and so well picked out for this awesome piece realkly like how the mountians on the background are so hazy from the sweltering heat that you have created and how there is the flatlands coming up to the great desert sceanery love the cactus and the sage brush wonderfull lighting and presentation shawn love it so realistic . john{ :"
