Hi Gena, I don't blame you at all for not wanting to look at this. It really hurts to see a goose injured like this. The woman who found the the goose had already called for help when I came across them both. It was really nice to see the goose rescued. I hope it recovered too. Thanks for caring so much. Warm regards from, The Photographer

I find the photographer has used empathy and thought in this photograph, I see the pain and shock in this birds eyes and maybe a bit of hope and yet it is beautifully composed and the shadows and colours help to bring out the moodiness and sadness of the picture. Great work, keep up with the 'thoughtful' photographs! I love it.

Good capture with story telling ability. The composition is good and the photograph is nicely exposed too. Gladly somebody stepped into help save his life!
Thanks for sharing and good luck for the contest.

Nature is my favorite subject for photoes, but not like this. I think the bird was in shock at the time and that's a tough thing to see. Thank you for your wonderful remarks and concern. Warm regards from, The Photographer

It is sad Trev! When you love nature it's the last thing you want to see. A couple of weeks after I saw this they saw a goose who was hit with a dart gun and had two darts in its neck. I don't know why anyone in their right mind would want to do that, but unfortunately they do. Someone snapped a picture of the bird with the picture of the type of dart gun they used. The bird was alive in the shot with a dart in his neck, but whether they caught the goose I don't know. I might post that notice here later so other people will know what a dart gun looks like. The only thing I like to shoot is my camera, because your target never gets hurt and you need skill to get the shot. I wish I could tell you the outcome of both geese but I dont know. It's nice to hear other peoples concerns. Thanks The Photographer
