A picture that speaks as this one does, that is well balanced, gets the message across and has great colour is definitely worth taking time out for a closer look. Really good, but then you already know that, I am sure. Robin

Hi Robin, I can only hope other people like my work. To be in open space when Heaven openned up with fingers of light was a blessing. I love to catch moments like this. The statue was another blessing. I thought it had a special grace about it. I'm so glad I had a little knowledge of putting these two together and am deeply honored you felt I did a good job. Thank you for the lovely compliments. Helvi :o)

This looks great I often think of Heaven when I see the rays coming through the clouds, and adding Mary and Jesus became a reality..almost..very nicely done thanks for sharing!!

A very pretty image you have created. The sky is beautiful. You have layered Mary in with good skill, really like the way you have made her gown trasparent at the edges. I think this would be a stonger image if you moved Mary up and did away with the dark ground.

Hi shiloh, :o) I did a lot of thought thinkiing about where to place Mary. The reason I placed her where she is and left the ground in was because I didn't want her to block the openning in the sky. I left the dark ground in because I really wanted to associate the title, beams of light and Mary with touching the earth. I don't think the connection would have been as strong if I had taken the silhoetted trees out. I did give it thought though. :o) Thank you for sharing what you liked and what you didn't. I appreciate hearing both. Thank you for stopping by to review. Blessings, Helvi

A very pretty scene. I like the clouds a lot. You're right the two pictures do go nicely together. I would reconsider where you have placed the stature though. It doesn't see quite right. Perhaps lower in the scene and a little bit larger would improve this.

I know plcement is always a debateable issue. :o) I considered placement and size many times when creating this. The end result felt just right to me, but I have no qualms with your feelings. We can disagree with a smile. I appreciate your thoughts very much. Thanks for letting me know how you feel and the great review. :o) Blessings, Helvi :o)

This is very nicely done. Great blend of the two pictures. My Aunt always wanted to do the same but with a cross floating to the opening of the sky. where the sun comes through.
