OK the stroke/line work is young, unsure and unguided.
The angles need some tuning.
The fill work is as, or more important then the line due to that it shows how devoted to perfection you are. An excellent exercise would be to do a fill using the stipple technique. That will help give control that at this point you don't understand.
This is an excellent doodle but I think you have better in you.

i did mention it was a draft sketch but constructive criticism is always appreciated and taken on board so don't worry i haven't taken anything to heart its all a bit of fun :)

well I painted it and think its made a big improvement, I have no idea how people produce such vivid images with colour pencils, every time I try it looks so wishy washy!

Cute! I think your sister will love this! The colors and the details are really good, I like how she has one shoe on and one off. I'm sure this will look nice on a wedding invitation!

thank you, I will be painting this as the colours aren't bold enough for me but she is pleased so far with the first sketch
