Beautiful, you caught so much detail of the entire bird. I like the little piece of food on his beak. Nicely centered, framed, gread job. Thanks for sharing.

Super shot of the cardinal.
tack sharp focus,
great impact,
Very good framing,
good DOF.
My only comment would have to be the grass stem right in the very front. Your eyes need to go directly to the subject not whats in front of it.

Nice shot of this Cardinal, too bad the blade of grass is in the way but it doesn't matter sometimes those things can't be helped, good focus and lighting, good story telling ability and impact thanks for sharing!!

Gorgeous. He looks kind of young. Such a great close-up. Birds are a bit difficult capture and this is nicely done. Butterflies are beautiful, but birds are beautiful as well.

This picture is an eye catcher. I love what you have done with it. The grasses in the front of the bird. Perfect. The bird itself is breathtaking. A once in a lifetime view. Thanks for sharing it. Love it!

Wow! Your patience really paid off! This is a terrific picture of this guy. The focus is amazing and the background is nice and not distracting.

I am enjoying looking at this up close. A cardinal is not often seen quite like this, even with a feeder outside a window, where their beak is usually down!

Nice job, Willie! I wish you luck in the contest! Since I have a dog in this fight, too, if you win, I'll take you to cyber lunch! No toothpicks even needed! LOL Bev

What a beautiful red cardinal you have caught.

I wih the blade of grass was not there.

Still, just to get this from a flighty bird as this is fantastic. The detail on the head is great.

Cardinal really pops out with clarity and sharpness. Background is muted as it should be. Hard to capture but a perfect pic from nature. Good luck in the contest-HEK
