Very sweet, such a moment of mutual affection being shared. I have often seen cats and dogs plaing with each other, it is very true that they can often be companions:) The soft lighting and blurring adds to the tenderness.

This is a really special moment between two animals. Very well captured great timing. I love the way the cat's eyes are closed and oh so trusting of the dog. It shows a very special bond. I like the white vignetting here and think it gives a dream like feel to it. I am not a huge fan of the heavy boarders/frame lines around the image. It is a soft squishy image and I find the hard lines a little distracting. Over all great image and great emotion and feelings going on here. Good job and good luck in the competition.

A lovely portrait of the two friends. If my cat and dog were so close it would be coz the cat had it`s claws in the dog`s nose. Great emotional impact here. Lovely expressions on dog and cat. Great colour and good depth of field. A lovely composition. Well caught.

I don't normally comment on pet photographs because it can be a touchy or sensitive piece for the artist. However, this is so well done there is nothing I think would offend. First of all, what adorable subjects. Great color contrast and pose. Detail is strong enough to bring in the audience, and then softens to fulfill the mood. An excellent family portrait, but could also be used in a vets personal office as a reminder of why he/she chose their profession. A beautiful piece. Well done!
