This is a very beautiful portrait of a duck I love the emerald green head and the catchlight in his eye. You have captured the detail and colours very well. I just wish I had more stars to give you for this one Willie.

This is a terrific shot using the light to show the emerald green feathers and contrasting colours - well focused & shows gret detail & texture. - His expression shows he may have some attitude.

That aside:
To me the balance, and composition, both are well tended.
The focus is crisp and encompasses the entire subject.
The background dose not detract from the image.
The light works well.
I see a creative imagination.
I see technical excellence.
Also I see sophistication in the overall appearance of this image.
I believe that this image carries a high capacity for story telling
