I see a window opening up to a view of the mountains outside. I see shadows at the side of the window as well. I think you did pretty good for this to be an experiment.

I can't tell you what is was supposed to be but I can tell you what it looks like to me. The lower left corner and not clue. But to the main portion, that means a lot to me. From top down to where there seems to be an edge, that looks like a large plank of wood. I has a crack or two, some wood grain running the length of the plank. A good portion of the wood looks like at one time it ways laid down with something laying over the lighter area. What ever it was protected the wood from being exposed to the element and turning colored. The one area that did looks just like what water would do. The dark area looks like some mountains. Interesting piece.

Thank you very much. I am glad you got something out of it. It was just an attempt to make something without usding a photo. Socalled digital art/paint, and of course I don't have the right tools for it. So I used my imagination with what I have, It was fun. Wish you a Merry Christmas

I think this is an excellent and successful experiment; your feelings and intuition on the brown color made you to create a beautiful wood texture and vintage aspect - it's very pleasant for my eyes.

Kudos to you for being brave, experimenting and then posting the results. I quite like all the different brown colors and patterns. The stars across the left hand corner of the picture add to the story, because they could represent what isn't visible through the window, but do exist beyond the cloud cover. Nice variety of textures and shadow. Congratulations. Well done.

Nice try however, I really see nothing here and don't know what you just might have been trying to do, I like the sepia and this looks like it just might be some wood, other than that - No Clue!

I too do not know much about this technique. I think this is a fabulous attempt with the brown contest in mind. It has an old flavor to it. I like all the details and how the shapes work together. Looks like an old sepia print. The lighting is dramatic and draws you in to look at the subject. A great attempt, it's fun to try new things and I give you kudos for that! Michelle
