I really like this picture. I like how the bird is looking into the camera, even tho he/she is not looking into the camera. The color is really good and the focus is perfect!

Beautiful capture of this confrontational subject so nicely lit, focally refined and beautiful in tonalities. Love that you had a bulb on the tree for the Christmas theme. Great focal integrity and overall compositional draw.

Congratulations on winning first place in the contest, Willie! What a lovely portrait of the female cardinal - so crystal clear and sharp! In my experience these birds are very shy and hard to photograph. Very well done!!

Where is my 6 star when I need it? The red ball really makes the red on this female cardinal pop! What you are demanding focus on is obvious, sharp, and clear while that background is full of accentuating colors. Great job!
