This is a classic image. It's so simple, clean, sharp and descriptive. I could see this being used as a sign in museum or a public area because it's so great. You are a wonderful graphic artist because you manage to take a literal image and make it art yet at the same time it's very descriptive in a clever way. People don't know how hard it is to put together a design like this. You my friend make it look easy with this one. Great great great image! Thank you for sharing!

This is a classic image. It's so simple, clean, sharp and descriptive. I could see this being used as a sign in museum or a public area because it's so great. You are a wonderful graphic artist because you manage to take a literal image and make it art yet at the same time it's very descriptive in a clever way. This one makes me think a lot. Basic lines and forms are here, the elements are simple and to the point. Good job on pointing out 'T' as the center of the word 'water', its form is like waterfall or water faucet! :)

Hi, I am also a Photoshop artist, since 1996. It was quite the process that you have described to reach your final creation. I have found that painting with Photoshop is tedious and challenging. Your effort is commendable and the water is well done. I see banding in the background. I don't know if it is from the posting resolution or from the gradation. If you do not already know this, try using a 2 or 3 amount of nose. That will remove the banding and add a slight attractive texture to the image. It seems like more color would have been a good idea Try a blue or teal background gradation and then lower the water layer opacity to allow the background to show through the water. It is rather bland as it is now. But, overall, the water is nicely rendered. Good luck in the contest. Your painting certainly fits the theme. Russ Cleversley

Thank you for your comments and very detailled review ! I had forgotten about the need to add some noise when using gradients. I added a 2 percent uniform noise filter. Would you please tell me if the problem is solved or if I should add more noise ?

Hi, there is still a little bit of banding but greatly improved. I still think a brighter blue/green background and brighter color for the text would give it a much higher visual impact...but that is just my subjective input. Russ

That's pretty amazing what you did to create this. Great notes to accompany it also. We went camping for two weeks and water became very valuable. I enjoyed reading the notes and the re-viewing this art piece. It's very cool. I have no expertise at all in this area to give any technical critique on it but I enjoyed viewing it. TY for sharing.
