Very clear and crisp image. The depth of field is well done and the colors are spot on. The detail in this lizard are great. Nice job.

The National Geography magazine might be interested.Nice effort to capture this creature creeping on a stick. Beautifully
worked on until perfection. Did you need macro?

This is a great image! Perfect focus and colour showing plenty of detail. Well composed an framed. The only reason I didn't rate higher was because the background is just a little bright in the light spot on the right. Overall, a very well executed shot. Good luck in the contest.

I love the expression on his face; i love the title; i love your narrative; your colors and your cropping are great, maybe just a tad too much space on top but certainly within the limits .. good luck in the competition .. jill

What a great capture. I love the green of the iguana against the red color from the post he is holding onto. Background fading is well done also. Good closeup with vivid details. Enjoyed viewing it. My daughter had an ignuana when she was young.

Great shot, nice focus, clarity and sharpness. Nice DOF and fuzzy background. I would have liked to see you up the light a notch and stabilized by upping the contrast also. Lovely colours and tonal qualities, but could be bettered with my suggestion. I love the eye and the hand and the contrast against the red painted wood. Great composition, balance, counter balance, counter point and interest. Impact good but could be strongeer. Great shot, with beautiful empathy and focal centering. Great shot, Liz.

Thank you for your kind review and your suggestions. Now I am really confused. i just was told twice to lover the light, darken the background and lover the contrast since the picture is to dazzling for the eyes. I will have a look and try out your suggestion.
reply by Bushbaby on 02-Feb-2011
There might be a problem with the light patches in the background, but if you try just one notch up and contrast it one or two notches and maybe work on the tonals a bit as well it should reduce the deep shadow on your forefront of the lizzard. You can also try just lowering the contrast, but I don't think that will do it for this amazing photograph. If I was you I would definitely play around a bit with the different settings and see which ine you like the best, you may even decide to go back to your original setting. I must warn you though that I am a novice photographer and a seasoned artist, so my opinion might not be the best to follow. I have though with playing around with the settings found that certain things work for me and that is why I suggested them. Kind regards, Liz.

I'll try it out. But since I am a painter and mixed media artist as well I have learned not to play to much or I end up with a picture what is may need but has nothings to do with my photo anymore. :-)

I understand, I am an artist myself and I judge all I see and review as an art piece and sometimes hit the wall. Relax and enjoy the site, my review was meant to try and help and not make you stress, be kind to yourself. Sorry I put you in a panic, please don't! I never meant to rock the boat. Kind regards, Liz.

Don't worry! I don't panic easily. How ever it will turn out your revierw is helpful not stressy. With reviews as your it will always be a new idea. It is just sometimes confusing to get reviews saying the complete opposite. But even than it's still to decide try one and the other and see what comes out of it. In any case it is much better than to get some numbers and not knowing why. [Sorry I can not sign with name. It is against the contest rules.]
