How lucky you are to have cardinals all over. they are beautiful birds. Wonderful how you can even see the bird's tongue here. Really strong center of interest. Great color and lighting. really sharp. love it.

I have never seen the stark feathers standing straight up before. Great impact of a beautiful bird. Your storytelling and impact are great. I like the feeling and texture of the silkiness of the feathers. The red and black are so wonderful, what a beautiful photo.

This came out great. I like the wonderful detail and bright colors you have captured here. The feathers on the top of the cardinals head look like one of the old troll dolls with the fuzzy hair. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

great capture. how did you get so close? i am from Ohio and this is the state bird. the focus is clean and clear and you can see the texture of the feathers. the formal composition is perfect. good luck with the contest, it is red;-)

What a handsome boy he is! I loath birds because of an un-natural fear of them. Mostly chickens, ducks, geese, and turkeys unless I am eating them! LOL Your photo is very nice. Wish I had 6 stars for him. Focus and clarity are 100% but he gives me the heebee jeebees. :)
