It takes a special lens and hand to gt this close to a live bird. Detail is stunning and is almost a portrait. Nice work!

This is a money shot in my opinion. The focus is right, the colors pop, the DOF is just effective.
This is a great image of a bird we often see but never so close to view it's beautiful details.

You are right...they are beautiful birds. You did a great job of closeup work here. Your cropping and contrast that you did is good as is the focus. Infact, the focus is wonderful. Youe use of depth of field helps to isolate your main subject...Nice job!
