Certainly an interesting picture. I've never seen a heron do this before. Its a shame the lighting is so flat though as otherwise it would be an excellent image. Focusing looks quite good and well framed too.

Thank you so very much! I only see them on overcast and days that it is raining. When the sun is bright they are nowhere to be found!

Interesting and cool Willie. Seeing a great blue heron is one thing - catching him action like this is something all together different. He is shaking the water of his body like a dog or bear. I don't think I have ever seen a bird do that up close. Thanks for the inside peak. Great shot.

good capture of this moment, I think this is a bit under exposed plus it is raining I assume so it lost a bit of color boost so some saturation might help. Still good capture
