Great work Willie, not often seen a true macro of a bird, I know just how quick and fast Grosbeak's can be so more power too you, the detail in the eye and feathers is outstanding, nice work.

It is the eye of the bird more than anything that really gives life to this image. Clear bright and shiny. Lovely colors and as always a nicely blurred background. I have run out of high ratings. If not you would have got it for this.

nice crisp shot. DOF, Focus, colour saturation are all good. the light in the birds eye lends life to the image.I think you should play with the f-stop and iso to lose the bluetint caught from the daylight/sky. sometimes a Polerising filter can achieve this too.
