The colors are amazing in this shot. The black landscape in the bottom of the print adds to the powerful impact and really makes the oranges and yellows punch. Great picture.

Beautiful. How lucky to have been able to watch that sunrise and then capture it so well! The colours are amazing and I really like the contrast of the buildings and trees below them. Well done!

I love the colors. The are very deep and rich in tones. Initial impact and DOF are great. There is definitely a story brewing here. Thanks for sharing and good luck in the contest. Keri

Nice shot!
I really like the colors here! You have don well showing this! I don't care if I never see it here though, we have had droughts and I don't like the dry dust and heat!

Thank you very much, I don't like the draught either. It is really getting very bad. Even the birds are leaving. The fire danger is on high level. It has rained in the eastern Caribbean and the Mountains of Central America and southern Mexico but the coast didn't get anything.

Wow thats some sky! Really quite breath taking. The colours are so rich and vibrant. The black silhouettes at the bottom are a beautiful start to the piece that leads your eye up to that gorgeous sky. A very inspiring piece, in fact may I have permission to use this in a pastel study? If it turns out well I will post it on here. I haven't drawn anything for a week so need a quick fix ;)

This is beautiful and scary at the same time! Those reds and yellows are penetrating. I don't think I've ever seem skies SO vivid with color. You almost feel the earth is burning. Dust really creates phenomenal sunsets. I am only sorry that beautiful shot means there is a drought going on. Hope rain comes soon!

Your lighting and focus are perfect! :o) Helvi

Thank you so very much for your toughtfull review and the honor of a so high rating. It is indeed as scary as it look. The dust concentration is so high that it is a danger for aircraft. The fire danger is on high level. The animals from near by jungle got very brave and come into the village for water and food. Everybody hope for rain.

Nice sunrise image (Could have been sunset as well) with some very intense colors. The unique architecture is a treat as well. Overall a good picture but lacking something to hold the viewers attention for long or make it stand out from other sunrise/sunset pictures.

Thank you very much for your accomodating review and your input. I believe the interest here lays in the eye of the beholder but may I ask what would hold your eyes for longer?

Your work has potential,This sunrise is a great photo but you need more colors in it!It seems too all 1 colored all dark brown.I know its hard to get the photo's the way the naked eye see's them!So keep on shooting!papabear5769

Thank you for your kind review and your input. I don't really understand your point. These are the original colors as they accured to the eye. There wasn't anything than that brownish light. Did you read my comments? The untypical light at sunrise is caused by dust accumulated in the atmosphere after a long draught. Why should I put color in a picture what is not there? Wouldn't that be unrealistic. Please could you clarify what you mean I should do.
reply by papabear5769 on 17-May-2011
What I meant was to maybe lighten it up,its too dark!I know the dust was in the air but you could've used your edit button and lighten it up just hair or 2!just saying you know!

Thank you very much for your response. I know it is dark, but I didn't than and don't think now that it too dark, even not for a picture. There is a lot of oranges and yellows in to lighten it in my point of view. That picture is not made for beauty to adore a wall. I is made to report reality in a journalistic sense. [If beauty comes in it's a gift but not intentional] Sorry to disagree but I like my photos filled with reality. If I want to make wall decorations, greeting cards or postcards I use mixed media or paint a picture. Sorry when I hurt your feelings with my response but I like to be honest. I still appreciate your kind offer of help. I just see things different. I think it would be very boring if we all see and think the same, wouldn't it.

This is a very pretty photo of the beginning of the day. Great idea for an entry in the contest. Beautiful warm colors and clouds. I like the silhouette of the cityscape. Really nice job!
