A very nice capture and hard to believe that shooting at such a fast shutter, you didn't stop the wings. Very nice work on your part of this beautiful bird!

This is an amazing picture the way you were able to get her in flight like this. The way the light shines behind her and shows off the wings is beautiful. An excellent picture. Good luck in the contest.

The movement of the wings that are so nicely lit contrast wonderfully with the rest of his/her body which appears to be stationary. The shallow dof and simple background add to the beauty.

This is a lovely example of using back light. The light through the wings is really nice. The focus could perhaps have been a bit more on the face, but the lower parts of the bird are pin sharp with good details in the tail feathers. Perfect background. I think it was a good idea to clone out the feeder. It leaves a very "tidy" image. Nicely cropped. Very nice composition with good balance and DOFF. Good luck with the contest.

I would have cropped just a little on the right to balance the thing somewhat, but then that's being pretty darn picky because this is a perfect photo in everyway. The blurred wing creates a feeling of great speed or action. A really outstanding photo.

Very creative picture, focus and composition are very good. You can almost here the hum of the wings, the lighting is excellent as it really shows the transparency of the wings.

An excellent in-flight shot of this humming bird, I wish we had these in England. Impact is great as the bird is totally isolated against it's background by using good focus and DoF. The sense of movement is increased by the blur of the birds wings and the colour is fine throughout, technically a very good shot and thank you for sharing.
