Excellent job with this one! Great stop action with wonderful detail. Good capture to get the wings where they are. Very good lighting! You must had your camera ready before you saw it. Good luck in the contest.

Thank you so very much! I did! He was standing on a stump in the water. I was relativly close. I know he will do something sooner or later, either go in after a fish or fly. This one did both. I have him catching and eating a fish also. I have my trigger on rapid or continuous shooting. I shoot about 3 or 4 frames refocus and shoot again.

These are awesome feathered friends. Great shot on this one. We have a lot where I live in south Louisiana, I see them on a daily basis stalking fish behind my home. This is 'Picture Perfect'! Thanks for sharing this one! Great work!

Nice stop action shot is my first reaction to seeing the photo, my second is what a rich blue background to show case the Heron against. Focus is a little off on the bird but the image coloration is striking.
