I love pansies! The colors are so vibrant and cheerful. Their petals do look like funny faces, as your children would say. I'm not sure if it is the light, or whether the capture is just a wee bit out of focus. I like the way you have filled the frame with the flower face. The spot of yellow in the center is a nice feature.

Nicely framed shot here with this flower and good capture of the colours. I really like blues and purples in flowers personally so like this one.
Thanks for sharing

It is a lovely pansy. I agree with your children. These flowers seem to have a little face. The colors are really nice. Like the yellow little eye in the middle. Your focus is however a bit soft. I would have liked to see a sharper image with a bit more detail in the flower. You are sooo close to the perfect shot. Since you have decided to center the flower within the frame, I would have added just a tad more negative space on the top, so that the distance to the flower is equal all around. I think the use of light is good, but it is sometimes even better to take a photo of white flowers, or partly white as here, in the shade or a bright but cloudy day. Nice shot with good DOFF.

A pretty flower.
The bright sunlight has worked against you and left unattractive shadows on the petals.
Focus is off with the bottom petal edge being in focus and the top petal out of focus.
I'd suggest fill flash in bright sunlight
