What I think is I should have save one of my 5+ star ratings for this. It looks like a black and white photograph. Beautifully drawn and wonderfully framed. It looks real.

"It's the eye of the tiger.." It's good. It looks though like this is only part of the whole drawing. It has good detail, but for something so close up I think it needs some more so that it can really pop out at the viewer.

Very nice composition. You did an excellent job with this piece. Fine details, great off-balance piece with nice contrast and tonal range. All in all this is some real professional work. It looks as though you need to upgrade the wuality of paper that you are working with. I can't see fine details to really weigh in on the matter but there is an obvious texture that appears to be distorting your image. Frankly you are better than the paper you are using. I would say the same about the quality of the photograph. It needs just a little photoshop work. Specifically just a little contrast. Notice that the lightest portions of your piece are darker than the white area of this site. The overall composition appears shaded and "muddy." Not bad... but if you had used really fine grain paper and you had done some contrast work to the photograph this would have been an EPIC work. These two little things held you back just a bit. Remember, great art is all in the presentation.
This is some fine work and representative of an artist who is very familiar with what they are doing. Good luck in the contest.

thank you for the high rating. I use Strathmore paper. maybe in this case the photo is what is the issue. anyway appreciated the good feedback.
