A lovely work of art depicting a Tsunami so nicely! Like the vibrant colors and the great dark areas spell disaster to me, like a true tsunami!! Nicely framed! Awesome artistic quality to this work Simonka!!

Now I am really grateful...you took the time to look closer...I was afraid this might not be the right medium for an image like this, too hard to see unless you really look, which you did, and I thank you for that...and of course for your great comments and review!

I see the town and the waves. It's spectacular, but seems much to beautiful for a Tsunami on first thought. On the other hand these forces of nature have their own very scary but nevertheless great beauty.[I know from being in some mayor hurricane].
Did you hear of Phosphors. Not the element, but a glow in the ocean. It is sometimes seen before a mayor storm comes in. [Just can't come up with the right English word]. I any case your picture makes me think of that glow. Fascinating to luck at and very scary to think what it could mean.

Hi cleo....I have not heard of Phosphors, just the ones in a TV cathoray tube (I studied Television Broadcasting in College). But I will definitely look it up, thank you for that information...weather fascinates me almost as much as lasers.. Thank you for another EXCELLENT REVIEW and for all your info, going to look it up right now!

    You're welcome.
I tried to search it under phosphorus but couldn't find it. That is just the name we call it here. Another search word would be Elmsfeuer [Elms Fire -literally translated]; but that is is German and mostly used in the old sailor legends. It is not the same but may caused by the same conditions. It occurs on the mast of sail ships. It was said that a ship where Elmsfeuer was seem was doomed to think in a storm. I other tales it was a sign of ghost ships. But it's real. I have seen from shore and at sea. I will search the German Folk Legend pages. Maybe I come up with some name there. I let you know.

This is so interesting..thank you sooooo much!

Elmsfeuer isn't the same, I think. I found an article on Wikipedia, but its in German. Elmsfire seems to be used for small discharge of natural electric and gas. But I think what we see in the ocean are may phosphorescent creatures, plans, maybe bacterias who got dislocated and brought to surface by storm/hurricane conditions.

You really done a lovely job taking cardboard, making holes in yellow and white lights to create a small town in the up right corner.Making the waves
and moving water with violet lasers and green and red colors you make extraordinary composition in almost real life and making a little scary pictures.
Thanks for good idea and your work and effect you made.
Best regards and more ideas like this,
Mirolli

I must say this is creative. The use of light to make the form of a wave or waves as the earth moves is a creative technique, giving good impact to the image. There dose seem to be good upper movement in the image. The way the colors are laded out gives depth. The colors are placed nicely, and work well together. This could be what a seismic event looks like under ultra violet light. The city dose look as if its about to be over taken by water. I think this is a very well put together image if one just uses their imagination, and studies the image a little. Your image must be understood to appreciate your inspiration in creating this. This did make my mind work a bit. Very well done!

You are fast becoming one of the "dark horses" amongst the mixed media artists. The idea worked really well and your
vision turned out excellent.
You keep up this kind of work and get yourself up to fifth place by the end of the year. You can do it,you can be that "Dark Horse" in the race.
