Thank you so much for such a high rating. Funny you picked this one after the news you have just received. I did this when I found out my best friend had given birth to her first born, it just seemed to fit with the day. Its one of my faves as well and one I want to try an turn into a big painting. No idea how that will turn out! I am so pleased you liked it this much

I enjoyed this artwork. The colors of the leaves on the trees with the shadowing on the road and the sun beams shining through really set the mood.

Nicely done.

You have some really exceptional work in your portfolio, but this one stands out to me as your finest so I will begin with it It's going to take a while to review all of these works but I am up for the challenge).

This is truly exceptional work. It really stands out from the crowd. Absolutely gallery quality presentation. Your technical merit is superb: fantastic spacial and tonal balance. Not perfectly centered (which is dull and lifeless) and you have a good mix of lights, darks and mid range tones. Excellent color balance as well. There is a great variety of color across the page and they all combine to create this cheery mood that you have gone for. This contrasts perfectly with the dark trees. I don't like the use of black. Black is not a "real" color. By that I mean that it does not occur in nature. It looks fantastic here because it adds a real dynamic contrast to the piece. But to take your art to the next level you must learn to "create" black (or rather a real intense shadow color). The lights are spectacular in this piece. The light shining through the trees is perfectly conceived and executed.

I count this as one of those rare pieces that truly stands out from the pack. I can't give a number to it, but I can tell you that this is one of my absolute favorite pieces that I have seen from this site. I am partial to landscapes; that is the subject matter that I am accustomed to and have been trained to do, so I may be biased. Nonetheless this is a fine work of art that is gallery quality and a piece I would be proud to hang my art next to. Kudos on a job well done.

(After typing all of this I realized that I am currently out of 6-Star ratings for the week, and so I must give you a 5-Star. That is unfortunate and I apologize because this is an absolute 6-Star. I will be extending that rating to another work of yours on Monday).

Now this is one of my faves, so far. This, lonely bench, golden path and penshaw poppies are strong contenders for the big project.

When I first saw the photo, I was like wow, I had never seen light like it. I really didnt think I would be able to pull it off but thought well you dont know until you try, I'm so glad I jumped out of my comfort zone and gave it a go.

I am soooo going to experiment with the whole corrinas black thing lol I have hearD tutors say that before about not using black, so why didnt I listen lol well I think its just because I use charcoal pencil in these pastels and they just let you do so much more detailing than the pastel sticks. Will try and play about a bit more and see if I can crack this.I quite like the
idea of going to the next level lol

This review has made my day, well they all have. I have been having a bit of a lull with all of my art, you have these dips dont you, wondering where it is you are actually going with all of it. Well to have comments like this from someone as talented as yourself has really given me that bit of faith to keep it up and has also helped me decide on what to do next. Now your job is to make sure I do it, I tend to have all these air brained ideas, start them and not finish them, just look at Flics Wish, I wrote that 2 years ago lol Determined to finish it by the end of this year though Thank you so much Stanley

Love the light shinning through the trees. Great technique! The colors are beautiful. The trees and leaves would make a beautiful t-shirt design. Love the blue on the path. Nice work!!

yes this is totally conveyed. an emotional and moving image. the illumination is just right, with stronger beams, carrying the message. has the supernatural and mystery of nature (talking) to the viewer and in a happy way.
