I like the shadow of the stamen too! This lilly is used quite commonlyhere in the states as a "funeral' flower. My wifegrows several different colors of these in her garden. Donkeyoatey

I never knew that this was considered to be a wees. It is certainly a beautiful weed. I like the way you took this so close up. The way the light shines through the flower is neat. I like the way you see the leaves in the background. An excellent picture.

Thanks Anne, I also think it is a beautiful flower but unfortunately in some areas it becomes so invasive killing the native plants.

I also like the effect caused by the sun, but wonder if you could have focused more on that. The sun seems to have bleached some of the colour out of the petals unfortunately. Good framing and the greens are so rich. Thanks for sharing.

Great close up of the beautiful Arum Lily. Lighting and focus excellent showing very good detail in the markings and making it stand out so well against the dark foliage in the background. Very nice composition.
