The story is mostly from a myth that I heard as a kid but I thnk its pretty much the same story told in most small towns. I just added my own ending and put the date as Halloween to make it part of the season. I think that's why this myth orginated was parents trying to scare thier kids into behaving themselves so to speak.

thank you Jenni for the compliment. the story came from a legend or myth tht i'm quite certain all small towns have. I just used a differnt swing to it and made it a Halloween story. Glad you liked it

thanks poohbear. my paintinga are most of the time differnt to say the least LOL. I guess flowers in a graveyard would have worked. would have added a bit of color to it at least. Unless with my warped sence of humor I would have made them black to match the holiday LOL

A great story Diane but not one of my favorite works from you.That open spot on the left side is very distracting and the teenage lovers look as if they are floating rather than standing on the ground.Layering is a bit off.

had to give it another look and I guess I should have added some tombstones on the left,it is rather vacant. It is because they are opaqu is why they appear floating. I tried several locations on the background to place them and any other place either had them below their tombstones or way above it. I was going to place them away from them, but then it took away from the effect that i was going for, and beleive it or not I acually had a plan this time LOL.
I didn't use layering on this , cleo tried to explain to me how to use that techniqyue and i still don't understand it. it is no doubt when I do get it , it will be one of those very simple things that I'll go ..duh..to LOL
